Připravuje se druhé vydání knihy “Ekologie lesa – Jak se les mění a funguje” kolektivu autorů pod vedením Pavla Rottera a Luboše Purcharta. První vydání je dostupné pouze elektronicky a pro tisk druhého vydání nás zajímá přibližný počet zájemců. Na stránkách PSB je dostupný dotazník, kde můžete projevit nezávazný zájem o koupi knižního vydání. Zájemci, kteří se zde přihlásí, dostanou po vydání knihy informaci o možnosti zakoupení.

Vyšla nová “evropská” učebnice přírodě blízkého lesnictví autora Arne Pommereninga, profesora univerzity v Umeå (Švédsko). Předmluvu napsal Jean-Philippe Schütz. Autor učebnice ji v e-mailu popsal těmito slovy:
It is with great pleasure that I can announce the publication of my new textbook on Continuous Cover Forestry (CCF). CCF has always been a special research theme in my career and it is close to my heart. Due to my previous role in the UK and Switzerland and due to the silvicultural experience I made in Britain, Germany, Switzerland and Sweden I have been asked to contribute to the teaching of CCF at SLU, my University. Since I thought there wasn’t really a good English-language international textbook on CCF I could recommend to my students, I sat down and wrote one. Here it is (see also the links below in my signature):
The book is written in a generic way with no particular reference to any specific country or region but with many examples from the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark and Sweden. Since there is currently much interest but also confusion about CCF in the world, I think the text is filling an important gap. The book is available as of now and Jean-Philippe Schütz has written the foreword.
Please pass this information on to interested individuals. I am also available for discussions and for guest lectures on this subject.

Dušan Utinek nás provázel při exkurzi v lesích města Moravský Krumlov v r. 2007. V posledních letech publikuje jeden článek za druhým, nejčastěji v Selské revui (časopis ASZ ČR), ale také v Lesnické práci a na Ekolistu, např. tento článek, kde popisuje, jak hospodaří ve vlastním lese. V posledním čísle Selské revue byly publikovány dva články: “Jak na to, aby lesy nebyly jen na dřevo” a “Promíchat, netřepat! O smíšených lesích II. část“.
